Description

Lead the architectural design and migration of legacy applications to AWS cloud infrastructure.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Produce conceptual, solution, and component-level architectures and associated artifacts.
• Develop transition and target state architectures, including cloud-related patterns and shared business components.
• Migrate legacy applications to AWS using EKS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Build and monitor transition architectures using CI/CD pipelines and observability tools.
• Address non-functional requirements including scalability, performance, resilience, and recovery.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or infrastructure roles.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including EKS, S3, Lambda, RDS, and ElasticSearch.
• Deep knowledge of AWS networking: VPCs, Subnets, Security Groups, Transit Gateway, ALB/NLB, and Route53.
• Proficiency in Terraform and GitLab for code-first cloud configuration.
• Strong development skills in Python, Golang, or Java/J2EE.
• Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of networking protocols: TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, and HTTP.
• Expertise in security mechanisms: mTLS, x509, OpenID Connect, JWT, OAuth2, and RBAC/ABAC.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins, GitLab, Travis CI, or GoCD.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with observability stacks including ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases and caching layers.
