Description

You will own test strategy and automation for broadband gateway and extender platforms, ensuring release quality for embedded Linux networking products.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute end-to-end test strategies for wired and wireless interfaces.
• Develop reusable Python-based automation frameworks for functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or GitLab CI) for continuous validation.
• Analyze network traffic and system behavior using tcpdump, Wireshark, iperf, and netstat.
• Debug complex issues spanning kernel, middleware, and user space to provide root-cause analysis.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in DevQA, System QA, or Validation Engineering.
• Strong understanding of RDK-B, OpenWRT, or prplOS-based systems.
• Solid background in embedded Linux, including logs, process analysis, and crash debugging.
• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP concepts: routing, bridging, multicast, QoS, and IPv6 coexistence.
• Proficiency with Linux networking diagnostic tools: tcpdump, Wireshark, iperf, ss, ethtool.
• Hands-on experience testing IPv6 technologies and dual-stack scenarios.
• Proficiency with version control and code review systems (Git, Gerrit).
• Experience automating log collection, result analysis, and failure triage.

Preferred Skills

• Experience testing Wi-Fi performance (802.11n/ac/ax) or broadband access technologies (DOCSIS/fiber).
• Experience working with chipset vendor SDKs (Broadcom, Qualcomm, MediaTek).
• Familiarity with containerized or virtualized test environments.
