Description

You will lead strategic planning, design, and maintenance of campus network infrastructure and telecommunications services.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Own the logical and physical design of the campus network, including routers, switches, firewalls, VLANs, IP space, and wireless networks.
• Manage fiber and copper infrastructure, internet connectivity, and telecommunications services.
• Develop and implement policies, technical KPIs, SLAs, and documentation for the network portfolio.
• Oversee lifecycle management, budget development, and continuous infrastructure upgrades.
• Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery readiness, including managing 24/7 on-call rotations.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in leadership and management roles, including supervision and performance management.
• Hands-on expertise in LAN/WAN architecture.
• Proficiency in DNS/DHCP management.
• Experience with installing and troubleshooting network equipment.
• Ability to manage network security, capacity planning, and fault tolerance.
• Proven experience as a technical project leader.
• Strong ability to translate technical terminology for non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Master's degree in a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in leadership and management roles.
• Experience working in public higher education or the public sector.
