Description

Lead global engineering teams through the full product lifecycle, from inception to major releases and ongoing maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Scale the software development organization from a small group to multiple global teams comprising software, mobile, data, and test engineers.
• Manage and coach individual contributors, team leads, and engineering managers on career planning and leadership.
• Deliver product lines on time and within scope while maintaining high quality and security standards.
• Provide architectural guidance aligned with cloud and platform strategies, ensuring adherence to PCI and SOC compliance.
• Partner with Product, DevOps, and UX Design to estimate effort, assess feasibility, and ensure security is integrated throughout the SDLC.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering leadership.
• Proven track record managing high-volume transactional systems, such as credit processing or real-time retail systems.
• Deep expertise in server-side development and enterprise scalable applications using Java.
• Experience with RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in SQL schema design, queries, and administration using PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
• Strong background in AWS, Linux, and IP networking.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD pipeline automation, and orchestration technologies.
• Expertise in software architecture patterns including redundancy, failover, clustering, and horizontal/vertical scaling.
• Practical application of security considerations throughout the SDLC.
