Description

Lead the West Coast structural engineering team with an equal split between high-quality project delivery and business development. You will own regional growth strategies, manage multi-discipline engineering pipelines, and maintain profitability and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Spend 50% of time on project delivery and 50% on business development to meet regional targets.
• Develop team strategies to achieve business goals and drive brand growth.
• Strengthen client relationships through industry events and B2B engagement.
• Mentor the team on work-winning strategies and enforce high standards of execution.
• Manage fee estimates, project profitability, and stakeholder relationships.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Licensed California Structural Engineer (SE).
• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering.
• Proven track record in commercial, higher education, museum, and airport sectors.
• Established client relationship network within California.
• Experience managing multi-discipline engineering pipelines and regional growth strategies.
• Ability to lead in challenging situations and elicit cooperation from senior management, clients, and regulators.

Preferred Skills

• Strong network of industry collaborators in the San Francisco or Los Angeles markets.
