Description

You will operate as a hands-on L2 engineer supporting data center network and infrastructure operations.

Responsibilities

• Install and manage physical cabling (Fiber/Copper/Power), including patching and asset tagging.
• Perform rack and stack support for network and server teams, running necessary cables.
• Execute break/fix tasks, including cleaning fibers, replacing faulty optics, and inserting loopbacks for testing.
• Conduct failure analysis, identify failed components, and manage RMA processing for defective spares.
• Perform functional testing of systems, re-seating line cards, and power cycling equipment as needed.

Required Skills

• 5-8 years of experience in Data center infrastructure or DWDM.
• 3+ years of experience in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Network Hardware.
• Hands-on experience with Fiber, Fiber Optics, and Fiber Tools.
• Proficiency in Network Troubleshooting and Datacenter environments.
• Experience with physical cabling installation and management (Fiber/Copper).
• Ability to perform IMAC and break-fix activities in an infrastructure setting.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and working within an ITIL environment.

Education

Equivalent Qualifications: Education : BSc. degree in computer science or related field or equivalent associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from three-year college or technical school with an emphasis in electronics required, bachelor's Degree preferred. Tech certification: Knowledge of ITIL and experience of working within an ITIL environment would be preferred. Work Experience: 5-8 years of Data center infrastructure or DWDM.3+ Years of experience in Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Network Hardware
