Description

You will handle Level 2 support for data center network infrastructure, including physical cabling, hardware maintenance, and failure analysis.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install cables and optics, managing fiber, copper, and power cabling.
• Support network and server teams with rack and stack activities and cable running.
• Conduct failure analysis, functional testing, and identify failed components.
• Perform break/fix tasks, including cleaning fibers and replacing faulty optical cables.
• Execute component replacement (line cards, fibers) and power cycling as directed.

Required Skills

• 5-8 years of experience in data center infrastructure or DWDM.
• 3+ years of experience in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network hardware.
• Hands-on experience with data center, fiber optics, fiber tools, and network troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in physical cabling (fiber/copper) installation, maintenance, and MPO fibers.
• Ability to perform asset tagging, labeling, and patching activities.
• Understanding of data center and network hardware architecture for L3 troubleshooting support.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of ITIL and experience working within an ITIL environment.
• Hands-on experience in IMAC and break-fix activities in an infrastructure environment.

Education

Equivalent Qualifications: Education : BSc. degree in computer science or related field or equivalent associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from three-year college or technical school with an emphasis in electronics required, bachelor's Degree preferred. Tech certification: Knowledge of ITIL and experience of working within an ITIL environment would be preferred.
