Description

You will manage L2 support and physical infrastructure tasks within the data center environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical cabling, cable management, and installation of Fiber/Copper/Power circuits.
• Assist network and server teams with rack and stack operations and cable deployment.
• Conduct failure analysis, functional testing, and identify defective components or circuits.
• Execute break/fix tasks, including cleaning fibers, replacing faulty optics, and testing with VF/OPM.
• Manage asset tagging, labeling, and component replacement (line cards, fibers).

Required Skills

• 5-8 years of experience in Data center infrastructure or DWDM.
• 3+ years of experience in Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Network Hardware.
• Hands-on experience with Datacenter, Fiber, Fiber Optics, Fiber Tools, and Network Troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in physical cabling (Fiber/Copper) installation and maintenance, including MPO fibers.
• Experience with IMAC and break-fix activities in infrastructure environments.
• Ability to perform functional testing, including loopbacks and using VF/OPM testers.
• Understanding of infrastructure hardware architecture to support L3 troubleshooting procedures.
• Knowledge of ITIL principles and working within an ITIL environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with task queue management, SLA/KPI management, and RCA processes.
• Technical experience in troubleshooting DC & Network equipment, rack, and stack.

BSc. degree in computer science or related field or equivalent associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from three-year college or technical school with an emphasis in electronics required, bachelor's Degree preferred. Tech certification: Knowledge of ITIL and experience of working within an ITIL environment would be preferred.
