You will lead the delivery of commodity plans for door finishers, moving glass, and sealing systems to meet quality, cost, and timing targets.
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver Engineering Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) deliverables and commodity PSW in line with programme timing.
- Manage design verification test plans, including detailed planning of test and development stages through to sign-off.
- Direct problem resolution using recognized definition techniques and the Automated Issue Management system (AIMS).
- Maintain the Worldwide Engineering Release System through PACN/iCreate and manage change requests and expenditure forecasting.
- Ensure design solutions meet legal regulations, Bill of Design (BoD), Bill of Process (BoP), and Optical Quality requirements.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience leading the resolution of technical and process issues within a project team environment.
- Expertise in automotive closure systems, including glass, plastics, rubbers, composites, or BIW.
- Proficiency in creating 2D sections and 3D geometry using Catia V5/V6, TCE, or Digibuck.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T application and gauge design.
- Proven experience with kinematic systems.
- Competency in Requirements Management and Design Verification documentation (RMDV).
- Experience in Test Planning and automotive engineering processes.
- Valid driving licence.
Preferred Skills
- Systems Engineering knowledge and understanding of aerodynamics.
- Experience within automotive engineering or test planning departments.
