You will develop, optimize, and maintain data solutions using SQL and Dremio, focusing on lakehouse analytics and ETL/ELT pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for analytics and data transformation within Dremio.
• Design data models and build ETL/ELT pipelines using Dremio’s semantic layer.
• Deliver advanced Lakehouse analytics using CTEs, window functions, and aggregation on large datasets.
• Optimize query performance across Dremio and Postgres environments.
• Collaborate with BI, Data Science, and business teams to enable self-service analytics and implement data governance.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in a data engineering capacity.
• Hands-on experience with Dremio, specifically Lakehouse and Data Lake analytics.
• Expert proficiency in SQL for large analytical queries.
• Knowledge of modern data lakes (Iceberg, Delta Lake) and distributed SQL engines.
• Experience implementing ETL and ELT processes.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD practices for analytics code.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with metadata tools for lineage and cataloging.
• Familiarity with Airflow or Prefect orchestration.
