Description

Build and maintain Drupal sites for a government research institute using front-end and back-end techniques.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Drupal sites using PHP, HTML5, CSS3, SASS, JavaScript, jQuery, and XML.
• Code HTML pages manually without WYSIWYG editors and implement responsive design.
• Collaborate with developers in daily meetings to align on goals and project progress.
• Perform peer code reviews and document work details in the job tracking system.
• Communicate directly with customers to address changing priorities and requirements.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of professional web development experience.
• Proven experience building and maintaining Drupal sites.
• Proficiency in PHP programming and SQL databases (Oracle experience preferred).
• Hands-on experience with HTML5, CSS3, SASS, JavaScript, jQuery, and XML.
• Ability to code HTML manually and implement interactive media.
• Working knowledge of responsive design and basic image editing.
• Knowledge of usability standards and 508 compliance.

Preferred Skills

• Strong version control skills using Git or Subversion.
• Understanding of typography and layout principles.
