Description

Lead the implementation and management of observability platforms to monitor telemetry data across distributed systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Implement observability platforms including Dynatrace, Prometheus, and Grafana to measure logs, metrics, and traces.
• Design large-scale distributed systems with a focus on consistency, availability, and fault-tolerance.
• Build proactive monitoring and observability solutions on public cloud infrastructure.
• Manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes, Docker, or AWS orchestration services in production environments.
• Deploy and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and CloudFormation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering or systems architecture.
• Strong proficiency in Java or another major programming language.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including ECS, EKS, CloudWatch, EC2, Fargate, IAM, Route53, S3, and ELB.
• Experience running containers using Docker or LXC within Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, or AWS ECS/EKS.
• Practical knowledge of Azure or GCP cloud platforms.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems principles such as consensus algorithms, durability, and reliability.
• Experience with logging and metric processor/forwarder technologies.
• Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure management.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Metricstream.
