Lead architectural design and solution strategy for Edifecs-based healthcare EDI implementations in Atlanta.

You will define integration patterns for HIPAA-compliant X12 transactions and translate business requirements into scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Define integration patterns for HIPAA-compliant X12 transactions (837, 835, 270/271, 276/277, 278) and payer/provider workflows.
• Translate business and product requirements into scalable EDI solutions by collaborating with technical teams.
• Oversee mapping, validation, error handling, and trading partner onboarding processes.
• Drive performance tuning, security, and compliance across EDI transactions.
• Mentor developers and analysts on Edifecs best practices and support migration initiatives.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years with the Edifecs Smart Trading Platform and healthcare EDI.
• Proven expertise in Edifecs components: Transaction Manager (TM), XEngine, SpecBuilder, and TPM.
• Strong experience with HIPAA X12 transactions (837, 835, 270/271, 276/277, 278).
• In-depth understanding of healthcare payer and provider workflows (Medicaid, Medicare, clearinghouses).
• Hands-on experience in EDI mapping, transformation, and enterprise system integration.
• Proficiency with SQL/Oracle databases, middleware, API integration, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Expertise in architectural design, problem-solving, and stakeholder management.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Edifecs migration projects.
• Exposure to Snowflake, Facets, Epic, or other core healthcare systems.
