Description

You will manage the technical aspects of electronic data identification, collection, and preservation for investigations and legal cases.

Responsibilities

• Identify and collect electronic data from cloud platforms and local storage while ensuring proper preservation.
• Conduct forensic imaging of electronic devices and storage media using industry standard tools to maintain data integrity.
• Manage and organize collected data by creating searchable databases and using specialized software for sorting and categorization.
• Provide technical guidance to legal teams regarding data collection, review processes, and eDiscovery software.
• Maintain strict chain of custody and ensure all collection and production activities comply with legal and ethical standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in technical eDiscovery or forensic roles.
• Proficiency in SQL, including the ability to write, modify, and script SQL statements from scratch.
• Deep understanding of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) framework.
• Hands-on experience with forensic imaging and collection methodologies.
• Experience with cloud-based data collection and processing.
• Proven ability to manage chain of custody for digital evidence.
• Technical expertise in identifying data locations across various systems and contacting internal teams to locate data.
• Ability to support criminal requests from law enforcement involving data stored in SQL environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting law enforcement requests in SQL environments.
