You will own environmental, health, and safety initiatives for the Fremont site as a hands-on individual contributor.

Responsibilities
Maintain EHS policies and programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including Injury Illness & Prevention, BioSafety, and Chemical Hygiene.
Lead monthly Gemba walks, safety committee meetings, and Emergency Response Team sessions to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
Oversee all safety and environmental training, including new hire orientations, Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP), and hazardous waste management.
Coordinate hazardous waste handling by profiling waste streams, maintaining manifests, and reconciling environmental reports.
Manage incident investigations and root cause analysis to identify trends and implement countermeasures.
Required Skills
2 to 5 years of experience in an EHS role, ideally within FDA-regulated or medical device industries.
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, or Engineering.
Working knowledge of EHS regulations and compliance requirements.
Experience with lean tools such as 5S, Gemba, Visual Management, and Kaizen.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.
Ability to manage OSHA logs, Safety Data Sheets (SDSs), and hazardous material manifests.
Conduct periodic audits and manage inspections from regulatory bodies such as the Fire Department, County Hazmat, and Alameda County Health Department.
