Description

You design and manage enterprise-wide logging, monitoring, and observability solutions using the ELK Stack. This role focuses on ensuring the robust performance, security, and scalability of Elasticsearch environments.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Architect, configure, and manage the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for enterprise logging and monitoring.
• Design and implement data pipelines with Logstash to ensure reliable data ingestion from diverse sources.
• Optimize Elasticsearch performance, including query DSL, aggregations, sharding, and Index Lifecycle Management (ILM).
• Create advanced visualizations, dashboards, and alerts in Kibana to provide actionable insights for IT operations.
• Implement security controls, access management (RBAC, TLS), and best practices within the ELK environment.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of relevant experience in observability or infrastructure roles.
• Expert-level proficiency in Elasticsearch, including distributed cluster design and performance tuning.
• Deep knowledge of ILM, data streams, sharding strategies, and High Availability/Disaster Recovery (HADR).
• Proficiency in scripting or programming with Python and Java.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Strong understanding of Elasticsearch security, authentication, and access controls.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver solutions.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AIOps or ITOM solutions.
• Familiarity with automation scripting using Bash.
