Description

You will perform electrical assembly, mechanical installation, and technical troubleshooting for automation projects in Elkhart, IN.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical cabinets, terminate wires, route cables, and install sensors and components within work cells.
• Execute mechanical assembly of mounting plates, brackets, subassemblies, robotic end-of-arm tooling, and machine guarding.
• Read and follow electrical schematics, callouts, and mechanical part or assembly drawings.
• Troubleshoot AC and DC circuits and program electrical devices including PLCs, HMIs, robots, and safety controllers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors to meet project timelines and provide status updates.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on engineering and fabrication experience.
• Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting on AC and DC circuits.
• Proficiency in programming PLCs, HMIs, robots, and safety controllers using proprietary software.
• Skill in operating machining equipment including drill presses, lathes, and Bridgeport machines.
• Welding proficiency in MIG and/or TIG.
• Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
• Experience using 3D CAD platforms.
• Ability to travel as required.

Preferred Skills

• 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field.
