You will manage the selection, qualification, and lifecycle of electronic components for complex hardware designs.
Responsibilities
Select components including microcontrollers, processors, OpAmps, ADCs, DACs, transistors, MOSFETs, voltage regulators, and power converters based on design requirements.
Perform component qualification testing in harsh environments, specifically high temperature, vibration, and shock testing.
Conduct failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) on components and propose design modifications to resolve issues.
Develop and execute test circuits to validate component performance and reliability.
Manage component sourcing, availability, lead times, and obsolescence mitigation strategies.
Required Skills
5+ years of experience in electronics component testing, qualification, or sustenance engineering.
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Deep knowledge of semiconductor integrated circuits, including microcontrollers, microprocessors, transistors, MOSFETs, and OpAmps.
Experience with ADCs, DACs, CPLDs, FPGAs, and DC-DC converters.
Familiarity with memory ICs such as NAND Flash and NOR Flash.
Knowledge of crystal oscillators and voltage regulators.
Expertise in component selection criteria and alternate component sourcing.
Proven ability in failure mode analysis and design-level troubleshooting.
Experience with high-temperature electronic component specifications.
