Description

You will manage the selection, qualification, and reliability of electronic components for high-reliability environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute component qualification plans for new or unqualified technologies in high-reliability applications.
• Identify new SOC/IC technology by monitoring industry developments and trends.
• Interface with internal and external failure analysis labs to investigate root cause failures and provide recommendations.
• Advise design engineers on component selection, electrical performance requirements, and electrical de-rating.
• Manage technical communications between product teams, supply chain, and manufacturing support groups.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of experience in electrical or micro electrical engineering.
• Deep knowledge of component failure modes, reliability theory, and component specifications.
• Experience with microprocessors, microcontrollers, FPGA design, and memory interfacing.
• Understanding of passive components, microcircuit, hybrid, semiconductor, and discrete device fabrication.
• Knowledge of hardware circuit board design basics and circuit design.
• Familiarity with accelerated reliability testing and component failure analysis.
• Experience with components used in high-reliability, automotive, or downhole environments.
• Ability to use and automate test equipment including power supplies, ovens, LCR meters, DMMs, and oscilloscopes.
• Proficiency in Python and LabVIEW.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Cadence PSpice and component modeling.
