Description

You will design high-reliability power electronics for aerospace flight control, engine control, flight deck, cabin, and ground vehicle drive systems.

Responsibilities

• Design DC/DC and AC/DC power electronics in the 20W to 500W range for severe operating environments.
• Execute circuit design tasks including part selection and schematic capture.
• Support PWB creation and perform design verification testing.
• Conduct performance analysis and simulation for power conversion systems.

Required Skills

• 12 years of power conversion design experience.
• BSEE or equivalent technical degree.
• Expertise in switching power supply converter topologies such as Buck, Boost, Flyback, Forward, Push-Pull, Half-Bridge, Cuk, and Sepic.
• Experience with magnetics design.
• Comprehensive knowledge of electronic power devices including MOSFETs, Schottky Diodes, and IGBTs.
• Strong understanding of control loop analysis.
• Proficiency with design analysis tools such as PSPICE and MathCad.
• Experience with Digital Designs and Control Software.
• Knowledge of DO-160 standards.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with synchronous rectification multi-phase converters, resonant converters, or current fed converters.
• Experience with radiation hardened, SEE immune design applications.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-704, EMI Filtering, Lightning Protection, and advanced packaging techniques.
