Description

You will develop electrical engineering system designs and generate 2D drawings or 3D CAD models.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed scale models and construction drawings for electrical systems and equipment.
• Review and check calculations, design models, and drawings for accuracy, functionality, and quality.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure overall design and technical requirements are met.
• Perform bulk material quantity take-offs and material requisitions for the electrical discipline.
• Participate in constructability reviews and resolve design issues independently or collaboratively.

Required Skills

• Advanced experience using Smartplant 3D, SmartSketch, and AutoCAD.
• Experience with electronic Cable Management Systems, such as SETROUTE.
• Knowledge of NEC code and NEMA/ANSI/IEEE Standards.
• Ability to model piping, HVAC, and Mechanical equipment within a Smartplant 3D environment.
• Experience with electrical systems, schematics, and layouts in nuclear, industrial, data center, or complex building environments.
• Knowledge of engineering deliverables, including drawings and specifications.
• AA/AS or Certificate in Engineering/CAD with 3-4 years of experience, or 5-6 years of relevant work experience.
• United States citizenship required.

Preferred Skills

• Previous DoD/DoE, USACE, NAVFAC, USAF, or NASA project experience.
• Experience working with ISO-9000 quality assurance programs.
