Description

You will support Grid Operations and Planning Research by deploying and evaluating emerging transmission and distribution technologies.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop research plans to evaluate new technology.
• Manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Document study assumptions and methods.
• Provide informative reports and presentations on project findings.

Required Skills

• Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (EE).
• Proficiency in power system modeling and simulation using RTDS, PSCAD, PSS/E, or ETAP.
• Experience with power system analysis and simulation.
• Ability to apply engineering analysis to solve complex problems.
• Capacity for occasional overnight travel.

Preferred Skills

• Specialization in Power Systems.
• Programming experience with Python, C#, or SQL.
• Knowledge of data science, databases, data structures, or computer networking.
• Experience with DERMS.
