Description

Lead complex electrical design projects for water and wastewater systems, power distribution, and renewable energy applications.

Responsibilities

• Create complex designs for electrical master system plans, power systems, protection models, and facility power systems.
• Manage high-complexity energy projects for diverse clients, including the US Federal Government.
• Perform power system studies, electrical calculations, lighting simulations, and layouts for communications, fire alarm, and security systems.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior staff, including supervising their project work.
• Collaborate with sales staff on RFPs and review proposals for adherence to industry and regulatory standards.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of related experience in electrical engineering.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• Expert knowledge of engineering principles of design.
• Expert knowledge of computer-assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices.
• Expert knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations.
• Proficiency with CAD and Microsoft business software including Excel and Word.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical documentation and client meetings.
• Ability to perform site reviews and studies to ensure design alignment with location specifications.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SKM Power*Tools or other electrical system analysis software.
• Experience leading electrical design for medium to large-sized projects.
