Description

You will lead electrical design efforts for water and industrial projects while managing power system and energy projects for clients including the US Federal Government.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical equipment selection, layouts, one-line diagrams, load calculations, and control schematics.
• Perform power system studies, lighting simulations, and calculations for communications, fire alarm, and security systems.
• Conduct site reviews to ensure designs align with location specifications and update requirements as needed.
• Collaborate with sales staff to create and review proposals for adherence to industry and federal regulations.
• Mentor junior engineers and supervise their work on technical projects.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of related electrical engineering experience.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• Expert knowledge of electrical design principles and systems design.
• Expert knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft business software including Excel and Word.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Expert knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations.
• Ability to perform troubleshooting and technical site studies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with electrical design for water/wastewater projects.
• Experience with SKM Power*Tools or similar electrical system analysis software.
