You will design and develop digital and analog electronics to control high-power electronic systems.
Responsibilities
Own product-level electrical design, including component selection, circuit design, subsystem design, schematic capture, and PCB layout in Altium.
Manage prototype bring-up, debugging, hardware bug tracking, functional verification, and signal characterization.
Convert product requirements into engineering specifications and generate subsystem design specifications.
Develop and execute hardware and system test plans for pre-compliance, environmental, and reliability testing.
Collaborate with mechanical engineers on electro-mechanical design and thermal management, and work with Contract Manufacturers in Asia to ensure quality.
Required Skills
5+ years of electrical design experience with digital, analog, and power electronic systems.
Experience with AC/DC power conversion, motor controllers, UPS, solar, and battery inverters.
Proficiency in PCB layout and Altium.
Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, electronic loads, and signal generators.
Experience developing digital and analog interfaces for PC-based test systems using Labview, Matlab, or Python.
Knowledge of discrete semiconductor design, mixed-signal design, and signal conditioning.
Familiarity with EMI/EMC design, mitigation techniques, and international safety regulations (UL, ISO, IEC, FCC, NEC).
Experience with wireless technologies such as Cellular, WiFi, or Bluetooth.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, climb ladders, and work at heights.
Preferred Skills
Experience supporting factories to source and qualify production line test fixtures.
Participation in DFMEA, Design for Quality (DFQ), and Design for Reliability (DFR) processes.
