Description

You will focus on hands-on electro-mechanical troubleshooting and machine control within a production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Spend the majority of your time on the floor working directly on equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems using electrical schematics.
  • Manage motion control systems including servo, stepper, DC, and AC drives.
  • Monitor and manage process variables such as flow, temperature, rate, pressure, and level.
  • Apply classical control theory to machine control tasks.

Required Skills

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience.
  • Strong practical hands-on aptitude for equipment maintenance.
  • Thorough understanding of current loops.
  • Knowledge of serial communication including RS232, 485, Ethernet, and IEEE-488.
  • Proficiency with PLC and PC-based systems.
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley or Beckhoff PLC and Motion Control.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2023 and AutoCAD Electrical 2023.
  • Experience with Fanuc Robotics, C++, Visual Basic, or IFix.
  • Familiarity with B-R Control and automated equipment systems.
