You will design and perform calculations for HV, MV, and LV electrical systems for manufacturing infrastructure and building projects.
Responsibilities
- Design power distribution systems, lighting, operational controls, alarms, and grounding systems.
- Prepare and review drawings, construction specifications, and procurement specifications.
- Collaborate with estimating teams to provide equipment and construction estimates with ROM accuracy.
- Develop motor control center layouts, transformer specifications, ATS sizing, bus sizing, and AIC calculations.
- Engineer control systems including ladder diagrams and point-to-point wiring diagrams.
- Size conductors, conduits, and design underground distribution systems including duct banks and cabling deration.
- Manage multiple small projects weekly by gathering user input and participating in cross-functional collaboration.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program, with a concentration in Power, Infrastructure, or Construction.
- 5+ years of industry experience, preferably with MEP multi-discipline consulting firms in high-technology manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in electrical design using Revit, AutoCAD, and ETAP.
- Deep knowledge of NEC, NFPA, ANSI, IEEE, and NESC standards.
- Experience with PLC, DCS, and SCADA platforms.
- Ability to review engineering submittals, shop drawings, and manage contractor RFIs.
- Knowledge of electrical testing and verification requirements including NETA, UL, and CSA.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.

- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power.
- Proven success solving complex problems through non-standard technical approaches.
