Description

You will lead the design engineering efforts for Low Voltage Transformers and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead design engineering for LV transformers, including structures, bus systems, mechanisms, and the integration of electrical, digital, and communication devices.
• Execute design calculations for windings, insulation, and core selection.
• Perform CAD modelling for transformers, tap changers, and conservators.
• Manage transformer manufacturing release and provide ongoing technical support.
• Apply industrial codes, standards, and Agile design thinking to new and existing product designs while managing cost impacts.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Expertise in LV transformer design.
• Deep understanding of DOE Efficiency Standards for distribution transformers.
• Proficiency in design calculations, including winding calculations and insulation design.
• Experience with core selection and the application of electrical steels in electromagnetic devices.
• Skilled in CAD modelling for transformers, tap changers, and conservators.
• Ability to apply industrial codes and standards to product design.
• Strong project leadership skills.
