Description

You will lead design engineering for Low Voltage Transformers and manage the manufacturing release pipeline.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead design engineering for LV transformers, covering structures, bus systems, mechanisms, and integration of electrical and digital devices.
• Execute design calculations for windings, insulation, and core selection.
• Perform CAD modelling for transformers, tap changers, and conservators.
• Manage transformer manufacturing release and apply industrial codes, standards, and Agile design thinking.
• Provide ongoing technical support and manage cost impacts for product designs.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Expertise in LV transformer design.
• Deep understanding of DOE Efficiency Standards for distribution transformers.
• Proficiency in design calculations, including winding calculations and insulation design.
• Experience with core selection and application of electrical steels in electromagnetic devices.
• Skilled in CAD modelling for transformers, tap changers, and conservators.
• Ability to apply industrial codes and standards to product design.
• Strong project leadership skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience integrating communication devices into transformer systems.
