You will lead electrical validation efforts for PCBs and subsystems within consumer electronics hardware.
Responsibilities
- Define electrical validation methodologies and detailed test plans for PCBs, modules, and subsystems.
- Execute validation coverage for low-speed interfaces (I2C, I2S, SPI, PDM), high-speed differential interfaces (MIPI DSI, CSI, CPHY, USB, PCIe), and subsystem performance including optical sensors, cameras, and battery/charger systems.
- Own the execution, interpretation, and reporting of validation results and coverage metrics.
- Support hardware bring-up, bench testing, and debugging activities to identify points of failure in the DUT.
- Track bugs and maintain clear communication regarding test plans and status.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Electrical System Verification for consumer electronics.
- Proven experience executing electrical validation on a bench.
- Proficiency with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, DMM, e-load, power supply, power analyzer, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, and temp chamber.
- Ability to read and understand board schematics and board layouts.
- Strong knowledge of Python and LabView for data processing and automation.
- Experience defining validation test plans and owning significant electrical validation areas.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with VNA, ENA, logic analyzers, signal analyzers, battery simulators, and DAQ.
- Proficiency in C#, shell scripting, and C.
- Experience with FW verification, flashing SW images, and power electronics validation.
- Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
