Electrical Engineer

Manage electrical building system startups, commissioning activities, and contractor oversight for industrial construction projects in San Antonio, TX.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate electrical system startups and commissioning activities.
• Review product submittals, shop drawings, engineering design drawings, specifications, and contractor RFIs.
• Coordinate equipment factory testing, delivery, installation, and handover with vendors and contractors.
• Oversee electrical contractors to ensure adherence to project delivery methods, schedules, and quality standards.
• Conduct continuous work progress inspections and prepare field engineering status reports.

Required Skills

• 5-10 years of professional experience, including 5+ years in electrical design.
• 2+ years of experience in construction management.
• Experience in design criteria development for electrical systems and industrial construction.
• Automotive experience with engine, transmission, vehicle facilities, or similar industrial manufacturing.
• Deep knowledge of electrical safety procedures, including Lock-Out, Electrical Safe Work Practices, and arc flash safety.
• Working knowledge of building codes and industry standards (IBC, NEC, NESC, NFPA, ASME, AMCA, ARI, AWS, ASHRAE, FM).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

• Proficiency with Bluebeam.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
