Description

Focus on resolving electronics issues for released video products through component selection, failure analysis, and design updates.

Responsibilities

• Perform failure analysis and qualification of alternate components to address obsolescence or supply chain needs.
• Execute design updates for schematics, layouts, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to implement requested changes.
• Collaborate with Mechanical and Firmware teams to ensure cross-functional alignment on design modifications.
• Interface with suppliers to finalize component selection and design changes.
• Support validation teams by developing test plans, triaging issues, and driving change requests through Arena PLM.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of electrical engineering design experience in consumer or mass production environments.
• Proficiency with OrCAD schematic and PCB viewer tools.
• Experience with component selection and verification for passive components (RLC), transistors, and power supplies (SMPS, LDO).
• Knowledge of microcontrollers, high-speed/low-speed memory (LPDDRx, eMMC, EEPROM), and audio components (digital/analog MEMS mics).
• Experience with RF subsystem components including Wifi, BT, LTE, and GNSS.
• Familiarity with sensor systems, protection circuitry (ESD, voltage/current limiting), LEDs, and SMT connectors.
• Experience managing batteries, battery packs, and PCB design requirements.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage change control processes using Arena PLM tools.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency using OrCAD PCB Editor layout tools for supporting PCB layout updates.
