You will lead the engineering design, documentation, and execution support for HV/EHV substation projects.
This role is remote.
Responsibilities
Develop and review detailed engineering designs for HV/EHV substations (AIS/GIS), including single line diagrams, layouts, GA drawings, and control/relay schematics.
Perform equipment sizing and selection for transformers, circuit breakers, isolators, CTs, PTs, surge arresters, and bus bars.
Prepare technical specifications, BOQs, datasheets, and tender documents; review vendor drawings for compliance with IEC, IEEE, IS, and utility standards.
Coordinate with civil, protection, SCADA, and transmission line teams; provide engineering support during procurement, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning.
Ensure designs comply with statutory regulations and safety standards; support FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
5+ years of experience in electrical engineering for power systems.
Proficiency in SCADA systems integration and design.
Experience with GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) and AIS (Air Insulated Switchgear) substation design.
Strong knowledge of grounding/earthing system design and calculations.
Ability to conduct protection schemes and relay coordination studies.
Experience with HAZOP/HAZID studies and risk assessments.
