Description

You will manage component lifecycles, reliability, and electrical design for downhole tools in the Oil and Gas industry.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot component failures through root cause analysis and propose technical solutions.
• Manage component selection, testing, qualification, and obsolescence reviews to identify second sources.
• Design electrical cables, wiring diagrams, cable diagrams, and schematics.
• Collaborate with PCB designers, mechanical designers, and vendors to resolve part shortages and quality issues.
• Execute cost reduction and quality improvement initiatives through part reliability analysis.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering and product life cycle management.
• Expertise in Electronic Component Management, including microcircuits and electronic parts.
• Proficiency with PDM tools like CWL for document and data creation.
• Experience with EBOM creation, DFM/DFA, and identifying suitable materials.
• Knowledge of component failure modes, reliability theory, and accelerated reliability testing.
• Familiarity with ANSI, IPC, and API international codes and standards.
• Ability to interpret datasheets to qualify substitute parts and manage obsolete components.
• Experience with high reliability hardware and HTPT standards.
• Background in electronics manufacturing processes and pre-production activity.
