Description

You will lead the electrical design process for substations and switchyards, serving as the primary technical contact for customers and EPC contractors. You will own the preparation of design inputs, technical specifications, and deliverables from initial proposals through final validation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design inputs and technical specifications for electrical equipment, guiding designers through primary design technical reviews.
• Create single line diagrams, electrical assembly layouts, and section views for outdoor substations and switchyards using AutoCAD.
• Perform sizing calculations for AC and DC station services and prepare routing and cable way details.
• Coordinate technical reviews and design validation with customers, providing a single point of contact for queries and modifications.
• Manage vendor evaluations, manufacturing approvals, and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) while leading a team of designers.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in electrical system design, specifically for substations and switchyards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for creating detailed electrical drawings and layouts.
• Experience preparing technical deliverables for proposals and technical specifications.
• Ability to lead design teams and manage information exchange with stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel for site visits and customer meetings across the USA.
