Description

Perform hands-on testing, maintenance, and modification of electrical and electronic equipment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test experimental wiring harnesses, electronic modules, and other electrical equipment.
• Modify electrical prototypes to correct functional deviations under direction.
• Diagnose electrical or mechanical malfunctions and perform corrective and preventive maintenance.
• Work from wiring diagrams and engineering specifications to perform system modifications and installations.
• Test electronics units using standard equipment and analyze results to evaluate performance.

Required Skills

• Associate degree or certificate in Electrical Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 2-6 years of experience with electronic test equipment including Oscilloscope and Multi-meter.
• Experience using CAD/Circuit designs.
• Proficiency building and testing harnesses according to IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards.
• Knowledge of electronics wire routing and basic mechanical assembly.
• Proficiency in basic office software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with preventative maintenance and calibration of equipment and systems.
• Ability to adjust and replace defective circuitry and electronics components using hand tools.
