Description

Manage electronic component lifecycles and electrical design for downhole tools. You will troubleshoot failures, design wiring systems, and ensure product reliability through rigorous testing and analysis.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical cables, wiring diagrams, and schematics for downhole tools.
• Manage component lifecycles, including selection, testing, qualification, and obsolescence reviews.
• Troubleshoot component failures and perform root cause analysis to implement corrective actions.
• Create EBOMs and apply DFM/DFA principles to hardware designs.
• Execute cost reduction initiatives through part substitution and second-source qualification.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in electronic engineering and product life cycle management.
• Expertise in component engineering, failure modes, and reliability theory.
• Proficiency in electrical design, electronics design, and creating wiring diagrams.
• Experience with PDM tools such as CWIs for document and data creation.
• Working knowledge of ANSI, IPC, and API international codes and standards.
• Ability to interpret datasheets to identify suitable component substitutes.
• Experience performing accelerated reliability testing and failure analysis on PCBs.
