Description

You will build and maintain backend services and JSON APIs to power single-page web applications. Deploy and manage Elixir applications on AWS services.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services and JSON APIs for single-page applications.
• Deploy and manage Elixir applications on AWS services.
• Write tests using the EXUnit testing framework.
• Operate within an Agile/Scrum software development lifecycle.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Elixir.
• Production experience using the Elixir Phoenix framework.
• Experience with Elixir tools including Mix, IEx, and EXUnit.
• Hands-on experience with Livebook.
• Practical knowledge of the BEAM (Erlang) Virtual Machine.
• Strong understanding of functional programming and Erlang.
• 1+ years of experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with AWS services including ELB, EC2, S3, EKS, ECR, and RDS.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Knowledge of NodeJS, Python, Lisp, Clojure, Scala, or Haskell.
