Description

Manage, optimize, and scale the Elastic Stack infrastructure to support diverse logging use cases.

Responsibilities

• Architect and size Elasticsearch clusters, implementing Hot-Warm-Cold architectures and Index Lifecycle Management (ILM) policies.
• Automate deployments and configuration management using Ansible and Unix shell scripting.
• Manage the complete data ingestion pipeline by integrating Logstash, Kafka, and Beats.
• Execute cluster version upgrades, patching, and server decommissioning/recommissioning with minimal downtime.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana components.

Required Skills

• Over 10 years of IT experience, with at least 7 years specifically focused on the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
• Hands-on experience with Beats and Index Lifecycle Management (ILM).
• Proficiency in Ansible for configuration management and automation.
• Strong Unix Shell scripting skills for automating routine operations.
• Experience with Git for version control and collaborative configuration.
• Solid understanding of networking to support data pipelines.
• Ability to configure index templates, snapshots, and searchable snapshots.
• Experience configuring Grafana dashboards and alerting systems for cluster health monitoring.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Python or Ruby.
