Description

You will own system-level improvements and technical direction for embedded Android platforms, focusing on OS internals and framework APIs.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop APIs in the system-level framework layer to support performant, end-to-end solutions.
• Debug functional, performance, and stability issues across application and platform layers.
• Specify interfaces for new software frameworks and enhance existing ones through design and code reviews.
• Collaborate with product managers and application engineers to deliver complete system solutions.
• Uplift team coding standards by implementing clean, readable, and testable code.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in embedded systems, or an advanced degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Proficiency in C and C++.
• Deep understanding of Android/AOSP, CoreOS, and Android Core Frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of Linux OS and lower-level OS core components.
• Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and bootloaders.
• 3+ years of experience with Android internals, AOSP, Zephyr RTOS, or FreeRTOS.
• 3+ years of experience developing MCU or AOSP consumer electronics systems.
• Experience developing device drivers and using system performance tools.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Android frameworks and services.
