Description

Lead the architecture, implementation, and lifecycle management of embedded software for medical device portfolios. You will define technical standards, guide engineering teams across multiple sites, and own the full development lifecycle from requirements to release.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Transform software requirements into robust architectures and ensure adherence to established standards.
• Own sub-system development including requirements, code optimization, unit/integration testing, and risk analysis.
• Lead concept selection, design alternatives, and the development of simulator solutions.
• Define test automation strategies and coordinate software testing across engineering disciplines and external partners.
• Provide technical leadership to engineering teams across multiple sites.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in embedded software development with technical leadership.
• Expertise in Embedded C, C++, and Assembly.
• Extensive experience with Embedded SW Architecture and FreeRTOS.
• Proficiency in ARM and AVR processor development.
• Experience with Linux development environments and Embedded Linux.
• Hands-on experience with UART, USB, Ethernet, and RS232 protocols.
• Proven ability in algorithms, code optimization, encryption, and sensor sampling.
• Experience developing boot loader code for microcontrollers.
• Strong background in FPGA programming.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in medical devices or highly regulated industries like military hardware.
• Knowledge of IEC 62304, IEC 62366, IEC 60601, ISO 13485, or ISO 14971.
• Intel embedded X86 development and Renal device domain experience.
