Description

You will work as an independent contributor developing, enhancing, and maintaining mission-critical platform software.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, modify, document, test, install, and support software applications and systems.
  • Analyze interfaces and behaviors of external software and hardware components interacting with developed components.
  • Identify and scope dependencies, issues, and risks, escalating them early to mitigate effort loss.
  • Own technical responsibility for project milestones and maintain team integrity and work ethics.
  • Coordinate effectively within teams and support the development of offshore team competencies.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in Embedded Software Development and Verification.
  • Strong C and Embedded C programming skills.
  • Hands-on experience with various SDLC stages following DO-178 B/C guidelines.
  • Proficiency in Linux shell scripting.
  • Strong understanding of system software concepts, binary executables, debug information, and OS concepts.
  • Experience with RTOS, including multi-core and multi-threading using VxWorks or Lynx OS.
  • Knowledge of processor architectures such as ARM or PowerPC.
  • Expertise in Software Configuration Management and Change Control using DOORS, JAMA, SVN, JIRA, GIT, or Confluence.
  • Experience with embedded development tools, debuggers, JTAG, Lauterbach, and analyzers.
  • Understanding of structural coverage analysis, unit test automation tools, and software certification documents.
  • Proficiency in quality audit processes.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of Python, Batch files, or additional Shell scripting.
  • Exposure to ARINC 653, ARINC 665, or AFDX software specifications.
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodology.
  • Hands-on experience with Device Driver Implementation.
