Description

Architect, design, and maintain C/C++ and Python software applications for embedded electronic systems on marine vessels. You will own the development of connectivity modules interfacing with CAN-based hardware, handheld devices, and cloud services.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded software using C/C++ and Python for marine control systems.
• Implement connectivity solutions for Bluetooth Low Energy, Wi-Fi, and Cellular communications.
• Manage the release pipeline using Code Composer Studio, SVN, Git, and DevOps practices.
• Lead small engineering groups through the full software development lifecycle.
• Write unit tests and adhere to strict coding standards and best practices.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of demonstrated experience in embedded programming with leadership capabilities.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
• Deep understanding of Socket CAN and embedded Linux environments.
• Experience with RTOS and embedded development tools like Code Composer Studio.
• Hands-on knowledge of Bluetooth stacks (BlueZ), Wi-Fi, and cellular protocols.
• Proficiency in network protocols: HTTPS, SSL, TCP/IP, MQTT, and FTP.
• Experience with version control systems (SVN, Git) and DevOps workflows.
• Ability to work in marine environments and around watercraft.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with engine control systems technology.
• Background in electronics and communications hardware integration.
