Description

Leads the design, development, and certification of complex airborne software systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Own the full software lifecycle, from requirements definition and design to coding, testing, and implementation.
• Develop and maintain complex software using C and C++ for airborne systems.
• Ensure compliance with RTCA/DO-178C standards and related certification requirements.
• Provide cost and benefit analyses while defining project goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with user and management teams to review customer requirements and drive project completion.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, specifically with C and C++.
• Deep knowledge of RTCA/DO-178C airborne software life cycle processes.
• Proven track record of delivering software of considerable scope and complexity.
• Ability to perform software design, including interfacing with users and stakeholders.
• Strong documentation skills for testing, implementation, and system upgrades.
• BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.

Preferred Skills

• Master's degree (MS) in a relevant technical field.
• Experience leading technical responsibilities for project phases.
