Description

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded C firmware for electronic control systems.

Develop firmware for commercial washers, dryers, tumblers, and related equipment.

Work hands-on with UART, I2C, SPI, ADC, PWM, EEPROM, and interrupt timers.

Debug firmware on real hardware using tools such as JTAG, oscilloscopes, and other laboratory equipment.

Support prototype and pilot builds through production.

Collaborate closely with hardware engineers, laboratory teams, and other cross-functional engineering groups.

Analyze and resolve firmware and hardware-related issues.

Follow established software development, version control, coding, and testing practices.

For senior-level roles, provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

3+ years of embedded firmware development experience for mid-level candidates.

7+ years of production embedded C development experience for senior-level candidates.

Strong proficiency in embedded C.

Hands-on experience working with microcontrollers and hardware peripherals.

Experience with Git or similar version-control systems.

Strong hardware and firmware debugging skills.

Ability to work effectively in an onsite, cross-functional engineering environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

LinkedIn profile required.

Additional Qualifications for Senior-Level Candidates

Experience with CAN, Modbus, SPI, and I2C communication protocols.

Experience developing firmware in RTOS environments.

Proficiency with JTAG and oscilloscope-based debugging.

Experience with MISRA-C or similar embedded coding standards.

Experience mentoring engineers or providing technical leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in appliance, industrial controls, IoT, motor drives, or related embedded systems.

Bare-metal MCU development experience.

Experience with STM32, PIC, ARM Cortex-M, or Renesas platforms.

Exposure to functional safety practices or standards.

Experience developing firmware for products that progress from prototype through production
