Description

You will design, integrate, and improve firmware stacks for main computational boards in IoT devices.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement low-level embedded software, including device drivers and communication protocols.
• Develop Board Support Packages (BSP) for Linux and Android-based devices.
• Refactor and port existing code to improve system optimization, security, and reliability.
• Manage device-to-platform communication using UDP, ProtoBufs, and binary packed messages.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across firmware, hardware, software, and mobile development.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of firmware development experience.
• Expertise in C and embedded software development.
• Assembly level development on AVR, MSP430, or Arm Cortex microcontrollers.
• Hands-on experience with embedded RTOS such as FreeRTOS or ThreadX.
• Linux kernel and driver development experience.
• Proficiency with Git source control management.
• Understanding of security issues in network applications and protocols.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Experience with ARM multi-core processors and battery-efficient designs.
• Knowledge of MQTT, Docker, AWS, or Azure IoT.
