Description

Design and architect high-performance Linux system software for embedded multimedia and digital television applications.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into scalable architectural frameworks and system designs for complex Linux systems.
• Develop and deliver system applications using C, C++, JavaScript, or NodeJS.
• Define software architecture for multimedia, streaming, and web content delivery technologies.
• Apply deep knowledge of Linux OS internals to optimize system performance and reliability.
• Ensure robust data storage solutions using SQL or NoSQL databases within the system design.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Linux embedded systems and software development.
• Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript and NodeJS.
• Strong exposure to C and C++ for system-level programming.
• Deep understanding of Linux Operating System internals.
• Expert knowledge of data storage, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Proven experience in system design, networking, and software architecture.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Understanding of RDK Central software ecosystem, video encoding, streaming, and media delivery.
• Experience with CA (Certifying Authority), DRM systems, and E2E video management.
• Knowledge of broadcast TV, IPTV, OTT solutions, Nagra CA, Smart RCU integration (BLE), Linux Bootloader, Systemd, and DBUS.
