Description

You will own the development and maintenance of embedded Linux BSPs.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software using C, focusing on Linux kernel and device drivers.
• Configure and build embedded Linux systems, including U-Boot and kernel compilation.
• Debug kernel issues, including crashes, system locks, and abnormal resets.
• Analyze schematics, datasheets, and technical reference manuals for hardware integration.
• Prepare specifications, design documents, test plans, and test reports from requirements.

Required Skills

• 3-4 years of experience in Embedded Software development with strong C fundamentals.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with the Linux kernel and its device drivers.
• Proficiency in OS fundamentals and developing multi-threaded/multi-process applications.
• Experience with Linux build systems such as Yocto or Buildroot.
• Familiarity with Host-Target toolchains for embedded platforms.
• Skilled in debugging using tools like JTAG, TRACE32, ICE, and ICD, and using oscilloscopes.
• Solid debugging ability for kernel software stability domains.
• Knowledge of SW development tools: Git, CVS, Confluence, Jira, Bit-bucket, SourceTree.
• Ability to read schematics, datasheets, and technical reference manuals.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in system-level debugging or Linux Internals.
• Experience with RTOS like Zephyr or FreeRTOS.
