Description

You will build and maintain the embedded Linux Board Support Package (BSP).

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Linux kernel device drivers for embedded systems.
• Manage embedded Linux build processes, including kernel compilation and U-Boot configuration.
• Diagnose and resolve kernel stability issues, crashes, and system locks.
• Debug hardware and software interactions using specialized tools and analyzers.
• Prepare detailed specification, design, test plans, and test reports from requirements.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of professional experience in Embedded Software development.
• 3+ years working specifically with the Linux kernel and its device drivers.
• Proficiency in C programming and OS fundamentals, including multi-threaded/multi-process application development.
• Hands-on experience with embedded Linux boot sequencing, file-systems, and board bring-up.
• Experience using Linux build systems like Yocto or Buildroot.
• Skilled in debugging using JTAG, Trace32, ICE, and ICD, plus oscilloscope/protocol analyzer use.
• Strong debugging skills in kernel software stability domains, including crash analysis.
• Familiarity with Host-Target toolchains for embedded platforms.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of SW development tools: Git, CVS, Confluence, Jira, Bit-bucket, SourceTree.
• Ability to read schematics, datasheets, and technical reference manuals.
