Description

You will develop, debug, and maintain embedded Linux systems, owning the release pipeline from board bring-up to kernel stability.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and debug Linux kernel device drivers for embedded projects.
• Configure embedded Linux builds, manage U-Boot, and handle kernel compilation.
• Perform board bring-ups and system debugging for cross-platform targets.
• Analyze kernel stability issues, including crash analysis, system locks, and abnormal resets.
• Prepare specification, design documents, test plans, and test reports from requirements.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with the Linux kernel and kernel device drivers.
• Strong foundation in C with 3-4 years of embedded software development experience.
• Experience developing multi-threaded and multi-process applications based on OS fundamentals.
• Proficiency with embedded Linux build systems such as Yocto or Buildroot.
• Familiarity with Host-Target toolchains for embedded platforms.
• Skilled in debugging using JTAG, Trace32, ICE, and ICD, and using oscilloscopes/protocol analyzers.
• Experience reading schematics, datasheets, and technical reference manuals.
• Proficiency with version control and development tools including Git, CVS, Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, and SourceTree.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
